Nice place to start the night, but...
At its best in the afternoons/early evenings, but can turn trashy quite quickly, attracting a sizeable straight, and sometimes homophobic crowd. Keep your wits about you and know when to leave. On the upside, it has some of the most interesting decor on Oxford St.
Absolutely Beautiful bar
I loved this place we went our first night and it was a great way to kick start the trip. be sure to check out upstairs its breathtaking.
A long way past it's best.
To be honest I have to second the concerns of a couple of reviewers below. Having been coming here since it first opened I now regularly walk straight past.
Not a great venue
The Columbian used to be a cool gay bar several years ago. Now, the bouncers are rude and aggressive. I saw a friend and patron rudely treated by so called security staff. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
