Queerly Beloved, we are gathered here today in celebration of our divine love. Gender transcendent diva, jazz singer and cabaret artiste Mama Alto leads you over the rainbow to empowerment, empathy and ecstasy. Mamaâs national tour of fierce queer affirmation proudly comes out at the 40th anniversary of Mardi Gras, before touring across the country: love is love is love.
Mama Alto is a gender transcendent diva, cabaret artiste, jazz singer & community activist. She is a non-binary trans femme person of colour who works with the radical potential of storytelling, strength in softness & power in vulnerability. Fierce, femme & fabulous, she has been lauded as âdivineâ (Havana Tribune, Cuba), ânear flawlessâ (The Age) and âa knockoutâ (The Herald Sun).
Each edition of âMama Alto: Queerly Belovedâ will feature special local guest artists. âQueerly Belovedâ aims to tour across as much of regional Australia as possible in the coming year.
Mama acknowledges the traditional owners of this land, the Cadigal people of the Eora nations. Sovereignty never ceded.
