BRENT THORPE in TOO OLD FOR TV
Do you remember the Taxi Club? The Village People? Political Incorrectness? Then this could be the show for you!
Brent Thorpe has lived in the same street in Marrickville since he was born. In ‘Too Old For TV’ he reminisces and reflects on his life and experiences and the changing face of Sydney’s Inner West. He celebrates and pays homage to friends, performers and artists who made a huge impact on his life. People like Joylene Hairmouth, Michael Matou and Boom Boom La Bern. He relishes in recalling their outlandish performances and their wicked shenanigans at the Bottoms Up Bar and the Taxi Club.
‘Too Old For TV’ is a rollicking fun night out full of hilarity, outrageousness and at times poignancy. It is a heartfelt celebration of our GLBTQ scene in Sydney.
