So, it would now appear that we won't be seeing Marriage Equality in Australia until we have a Labor government again. Labor leader, Bill Shorten, has promised to introduce marriage equality legislation into the parliament within 100 days of taking office. With the next election tipped to be in March, it's probably not likely that we will see the change before June next year.
BUT, when marriage equality becomes law in Australia, I'll be dancing the night away on Oxford Street in Sydney. Transgender, Lesbian, Straight, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Bi, Gay and everything in between, I hope you'll be there to join me (or somewhere else around the country truly enjoying the moment)!
Invite your friends.
