His music has been played and appreciated worldwide, with support from prominent tastemakers Bradley Zero, Tom Noble and Motor City Drum Ensemble. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✪ M5K (Voyage / Melb) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ As with many artists, M5K‘s musical endeavours began with DJ’ing, a love for collecting records and crate digging. Eight years spent on the turntables in the Melbourne club circuit with a repertoire for all things house, disco and funk. A seasoned veteran of the almighty Favela Rock crew, he has been in the midst of arguably the best hip hop parties in town for close to a decade. Music production being the natural progression, with two years of batting practice bashing away at MPC pads and dusty synthesisers, we saw him debut along side Andy Hart, Max Graef and the Tortoise on Melbourne Deepcast records.
