Touching the Heart Retreat

For men who desire a different kind of connection Touching the heart is the first of a series of retreats for gay men and men who are same sex attracted. These retreats are an opportunity to explore our relationship with ourselves and each other. Finding new ways to develop erotic and intimate freedom through increased connection with heart, body, mind and spirit. In this first weekend we shall begin to discover ways in which we can connect to our hearts and the hearts of others through the different mediums of meditative touch, authentic dialogue, body flow through music and movement, breath work and experiential play. For many men intimate, erotic, heart felt connection has become unsafe, confusing and even frightening. Phone apps and porn sites can reduce real human contact and for some this can create feelings of disconnection, numbness or compulsive and unsatisfying behaviors. This retreat is an opportunity to experience something different. It will require you to take a risk, to step closer to what ever it is that may be holding you back from getting what you want and need out of life. It isn’t a magic pill and it won’t solve all you problems, but it may just help start you on a different path. It is 15 minutes from Wisemans Ferry and the Hawkesbury River and 90 minutes from Sydney CBD. Yanada Retreat Centre is a special place that works harmoniously with the environment to provide a restful and safe space for groups and individuals to take time to focus and reflect. Sit on the cool verandahs, listen to the sound of bellbirds, watch the Kookaburras and Kangaroos and look out along the silvery McDonald River or over the fields and across the valley. Enjoy long walks through the beautiful bushland or just laze on one of the huge Balinese daybeds around the 15 m swimming pool. All bedrooms are shared, some with en-suite and all your bedding and towels are provided, so all you need to bring is yourself. All of your food will be provided with love and care, creating healthy, vegetarian, home cooked meals, using local produce wherever possible.
